Governor | Louise Quinn

It is such a privelege to be appointed as a Governor at Trinity Academy St Edward’s. As a parent of two children, I am delighted to be part of the development of a new secondary school in Barnsley and am excited to see the school grow and develop over the coming years. Although not originally from Barnsley, I have lived her for 17 years, working in education for 20 years primarily in Wakefield. I am currently Headteacher of a special school and have been a Governor in a Multi Academy Trust in Wakefield for the past 4 years. Being a Governor allows me not only to share my experience and expertise, but also continue to learn and develop my skills. Having taught in both mainstream and special education I am confident that this experience will ensure I can provide both support and challenge to the team an TASE. I attended my first meeting as a Governor in March 2021 and hearing about the quality of leaders and teachers who have been appointed, the ethos, high expectations, extra-curricular offer, and STEM specialism left me wishing I could go back to school again!

Many thanks,
Louise Quinn
