As we start recruiting our Dream Team of teachers and support staff to TAB, I will be asking each of them to introduce themselves and to tell you a little bit about their background and interests. Only the most dedicated, hardworking, and talented individuals will be hired at our school. Very soon they will be familiar faces to you around our brand-new building.
I am delighted to announce that we have appointed our second Governor, Jenny Davis. Jenny brings senior leadership experience from a special school setting alongside years of work facilitating school-to-school support. Another excellent addition to our Governing Body.
My name is Jenny Davis and I am honoured to be appointed as a Governor and to be part of this exciting development of a new secondary school in Barnsley. Barnsley is my home town, I am a miner’s daughter and proud of that. I have worked in education for 27 years in various Barnsley schools and Local Authority services. The latter part of my work was as Executive Vice Principal in one of the local schools. I have extensive experience in the areas of safeguarding, multi-agency partnerships and pastoral care. I have also been a Governor over many years both in primary, secondary and special education. I am now recently retired with time on my hands and I am ready to devote some of this to support the growth of this new school. I look forward to meeting everyone when we open and to be part of the exciting journey that we will all share as part of Trinity Academy St Edward’s.
